Research/Teaching Interests: John Mathieu's research and teaching interests focus on cross-level and multi-level theories of organizational behavior. Specifically, he is concerned with how the larger organizational context influences team processes and effectiveness, the effectiveness of training interventions, and employees' attachments to organizations (e.g., their commitment, absence, turnover). Most recently he has been the principal investigator of a multi-university grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research devoted to the study of multi-team systems.
