Develop valuable leadership skills and build your confidence while making new friends! There are many ways to get involved in activities and community outreach on campus. These sorts of activities greatly enhance your college experience and help you develop personally and professionally. Involvement also makes UConn feel like a smaller place instead of a huge place filled with strangers.
Involvement in co-curricular activities is crucial for building your resume. Start thinking about getting that first job when you are a Freshman, and find things to involve yourself in that will give you talking points during interviews with recruiters. They expect you to talk about more than your grades. They want to know what you did over the four or so years you were in college. Involvement also helps you develop job skills you will need to excel in your future career.
Attend the Involvement Fair, and challenge yourself to sign up for at least three activities!
