Michael Lubatkin photoLubatkin Ranked Number One in Research Productivity

The Management Department is pleased to announce that Professor Michael Lubatkin has received the honor of being ranked as the most prolific scholar in Strategic Management according to a global study conducted by researchers at Arizona State University. With respect to the past ten years, Lubatkin was ranked second in terms of research productivity in top journals, however, with respect to the most recent three years, he ranked number one.

There are about 3,000 professors of Strategic Management in the world who are active members in the Academy of Management. This study ranked all of these professors by the number of publications that they had in the six most prestigious journals in the field of Management. The study was conducted by Professor Bill Glick and one of his students, Paul Skilton, in preparation for an article on the top scholars in Strategic Management.
