About UsFounded on March 8, 1970, the Theta Iota Chapter at the University of Connecticut has been guided by the Purpose of Delta Sigma Pi. Brothership, scholarship, and social activity lead to mutual advancement and we embody that spirit in everything we do. The PurposeIt contains the philosophies at the heart of our Fraternity. Created in 1915 and amended in 1947, it guides the Fraternity still. Fraternity HistoryDelta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at the School of Commerce, Accounts, and Finance at New York University. The four founding Brothers were Alexander Frank Makay, Harold Valentine Jacobs, Henry Albert Tienken, and Alfred Moysello. Chapter HistoryFounded on March 8, 1970, the Theta Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi has since initiated 1150+ Brothers. The founding Brother was Paul W. Speltz. Professional ActivitiesWe hold many events each semester to learn from business professionals, academics, and alumni in the pursuit of professional excellence. Community ServiceIn our efforts to help others, we organize and participate in community service. Much of our service goes to our local community of Mansfield, CT. Joining - "Not just four years... for life."Interested students must be in or accepted into the School of Business or be an Economics major. In addition, they must have at least 2 semesters remaining at the University. Interested students should attend Rush events at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters in order to be qualified for a bid to pledge.
